Description

Blackmagic Design DeckLink Duo 2 Features

The DeckLink Duo 2, developed by Blackmagic Design, is a versatile PCI Express capture and playback card outfitted with four distinct 3G-SDI connections, each supporting SDI formats in SD and HD up to 1080p60. This flexibility enables it to function as four separate capture or playback cards rolled into one, and it can be fully customised to accommodate various professional video workflows. Its capability ranges from a media play-out system, a multi-screen digital signage server, to a real-time multi-channel capture system, or any combination thereof, to meet the specific needs of your current operations.

Its processing prowess lies in hardware-based, real-time colour space conversion, high-quality down conversion from HD to SD, and up conversion from SD to 720 or 1080 HD. It also boasts a built-in hardware cross-conversion between 720 and 1080 HD. Down-converted SD and up-converted HD are selectable among various styles, including letterbox, anamorphic 16:9, and centre cut 4:3 or 4:3 pillar box, 14:9 zoom, and 16:9 zoom, respectively.

It also supports real-time effects in Final Cut Pro X, Premiere Pro CC Mercury Playback Engine, and Avid Media Composer. As for software compatibility, the DeckLink Duo 2 integrates seamlessly with a wide array of popular NLE, DAW, and professional software, such as DaVinci Resolve, Fusion 8 by Blackmagic Design; Apple's Final Cut Pro X; Adobe's Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC; Avid Media Composer, Pro Tools; and Steinberg's Cubase, Nuendo.
