Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro Features
ATEM Mini offers several professional features that elevate the quality of your video production. The digital video effects processor (DVE) allows you to create professional picture-in-picture effects with customisable 3D borders, shadows, and lighting, all in real-time. You can use the DVE to make 16 different transitions, adding excitement to your programming.
With a built-in media pool, you can load up to 20 separate broadcast-quality RGBA graphics for titles, opening plates, and logos. For regularly changing graphics like scoreboards, you can directly download images from Photoshop using the ATEM Photoshop plug-in.
ATEM Mini is perfect for news or on-set presentation work because it has an upstream ATEM Advanced Chroma Key and an additional downstream linear keyer. It gives you the power to blend foreground and background layers seamlessly.
You can use ATEM Software Control to switch the operation mode from "cut bus" to "program/preview" mode for mix effects switching. This two-step process reduces the chances of making mistakes and is ideal for training students for a broadcast career.
The ATEM Mini Pro model includes a professional multiview that lets you see all 4 video inputs and preview and program on a single HDMI television or monitor. It also comes with a built-in Fairlight audio mixer, making it possible to do complex live sound mixing.
For internet streaming, you can connect ATEM Mini Pro via Ethernet and set your computer to share its internet. This allows you to control and stream via a single Ethernet cable. You can even use wireless connections such as WiFi, 4G, or 5G tethered phones for internet access.
The ATEM Mini also lets you remote control your cameras, allowing you to adjust camera settings and colour correctors from ATEM Software Control.
Additionally, you can develop custom remote control solutions using the Ethernet connection, control ATEM remotely, or position the control in a quieter space, such as a control room.
You can record your program to an external recorder or monitor via the HDMI program output. With Ethernet built in, ATEM Mini can use hardware control panels for high-end workflows, providing you with fast program/preview style control.
Finally, an ATEM Camera Control Panel can be added to control all 4 cameras connected to your ATEM Mini. This panel allows you to perfectly match all cameras with a good colour balance for a consistent look as you cut and transition between the cameras.
